MS AYURVEDA - STREEROGA AND PRASUTI TANTRA ADMISSION
Prasuti tantra deals with pregnancy, labour and
puerperium. It finds its parallel in the modern discipline of obstetrics.
Streeroga deals with management of diseases manifesting
specially in women. The discipline of streeroga & prasuti tantra find
a parallel in the modern disciplines of obstetrics and gynaecology.
The M. S. in Prasuti Tantra &
Streeroga provides training in Ayurvedic Gynecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics.
Prasuti tantra deals with pregnancy, labour and puerperium and Streeroga deals
with management of diseases manifesting specially in women. The program offers
theoretical and practical knowledge in Gynecology and Obstetrics, management of
antenatal and postnatal care, common gynecological problems and menopausal
syndrome to utilize the techniques of female health care and to achieve a
healthy baby.
Admission Procedure
The candidate should clear an entrance test for
getting admission to post graduate degree in ayurveda. The selection pattern
will be based on the index mark score of the candidate for the entrance test
along with the final degree written examination marks of the candidate. The
total index mark is out of 100 in which 80 marks is for the entrance
examination and 20 marks for the qualifying examination. The questions are of
objective type from Ayurvedacharya regulated by CCIM. The general category
students need a score of 50% to get admission while 40% is enough for reserved
category. The candidates are given a chance to change their specialization till
the second month after the candidate has got admission in the institute with
the permission of the guide in that specific department.
