Established in the year 1999, Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre has an objective of imparting training to students in the basic principles & philosophy of Ayurveda, integrating modern scientific advances for providing better hospital care to the masses and the society as a whole. Located within the city limits in a pictorial atmosphere, the college is considered as foundation of Ayurveda. The Principal of the college is Dr. Raghunath G.V.

Established in 1999, Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is sponsored and managed by Sri Balaji Education Trust. The college provides training to its students in advanced academics & extracurricular activities to make them best physicians and responsible citizens.

The college holds branch of teaching faculty and post graduate doctors who motivate students and there is an educational tour during the period of study. 

All the students of the college are encouraged to participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, cultural programmes and extracurricular activities. They are trained  to present papers in seminars, workshops, conferences within the college and outside.

The college regularly conducts competitions and cultural programmes to bring out the hidden talents amongst students.

The  college pharmacy holds muffle furnace, UV chamber, pill coating pan, tablet making machine, soxhelt and distillation equipment, tablet standardization, HPLC, ancient instruments mentioned in Ayurvedic texts, etc. for demonstration to the students. Also, it helps students to get practical exposure.

The college has a branch of in house doctors to develop the institute upto international standards and establish model Ayurvedic institute and research centre.
