The college is situated in Bagalkot, which is historically, the home land of great Chalukya Dynasty. Surrounded by lots of heritage sites like whispering gallery of Golgumbaz at Vijaypura (85kms), naturally beautiful Dam site at Alamatti (30kms), Dakshina Kashi Shree Sukshetra Mahakooteshwara temple at Mahakoota (35kms) and more others.
The college is a proud part of Shri Basaveshwar Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhak Sangha. The Sangha started its educational venture with a Sanskrit pathshala in 1907 and now, it has grown over the years into a citadel of education with a network of more than 100 institutions at Bagalkot, Kudala Sangam, Mudhol and Ramadurga.
The college is attached with 150 bedded hospital which is well equipped and it has IPD and OPD wards.

The college holds a well established library with a seating capacity of 100 students. The library holds 10,000 books which includes ancient literature, National and International journals etc. Apart from this, it holds audio visual aids and internet connectivity.
