About Shri Vijay Mahantesh Ayurvedic Medical College

The college holds  well-experienced and qualified teaching staff, Physicians and Para medical staff. Due to their efforts, the  students of the college bagged third rank in 1993 and 1996 and first rank in the year 1999 respectively from Karnataka University, Dharwad.

The college holds a well established library with the collection of 5000 books.There are adequate number of journals and magazines, daily news papers to enrich the knowledge of students. In the peaceful ambience separate reading rooms for boys, girls and staff are available.

The college holds the academic department such as Rachanaa Sharir, Kriyasharir, Dravyaguna etc.

Infrastructure and Facilities

The college holds well equipped, ultra modern laboratory which is unique among all. Apart from this, the college holds  anatomical Museum where medical facts relating to human body are on display. The museum is considered as the biggest museum in any Ayurvedic Medical College not only in the state of Karnataka but also in through out India. A collection of over 300 dissected specimens, over 300 models from the fetus stage to its mature stage.

The college holds the pharmacy with a wide collection of so many classical ayurvedic medicines such as various Churnas, Thaila, Ghritas, Vati, Bhasma, Leha, Asava and Aristas etc. 

The college holds an unique playground which includes 8 lanes of 400 meters athletic tracks, well prepared grounds of cricket, basket-ball, volley ball, Kho-Kho and Indoor game facilities like badminton, Table Tennis, carom and other.

The  college holds hostel accommodation both for ladies and gents. The hostels are uniquely designed and can accommodate 150 students with ample privacy in a safe and clean environment.The hostels are filled with all amenities required for the students.
