Located in 13 acres at Shimoga, Karnataka, TMAE Society's Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital is a proud part of the TMAE Society which was established in 1969. The college is   promoted by Shree Tegginamath Arts Education Society, Harapanahalli, a prominent philanthropic organization of Davangere district. The objective of this college is to produce graduates of profound scholarship having in depth scientific knowledge of Ayurveda in accordance with the Ayurvedic fundamentals associated with extensive practical training, who would be efficient teachers and research workers.

The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of HealthScience (RGUHS), Bangalore and approved by the Ministry of AYUSH, and Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi.

The college offers BAMS course to its students and the course is envisaged by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi. The duration of the course is 5.5 years.

About TMAE Society's Ayurveda Medical College

• T.M.A.E' s Ayurvedic medical College is promoted by Shri Tegginamath Arts and Educational Society, Harapanahalli, a prominent philanthropic organisation of Davangere district. The Society is running a chain of educational institutions at various places in seven districts of Karnataka.
  
  The objective of the college is to produce graduates of profound scholarship having in depth scientific knowledge of Ayurveda in accordance with the Ayurvedic fundamentals associated with extensive practical training, who would be efficient teachers, research workers, kaya Chikitsaka (Physician) and Shalya Chikitsaka (Surgeon).
  
  The  college is promoted by Shri Tegginamath Arts and Educational Society, which holds the distinction of running several institutions like D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, Homeopathic Medical College at Harapanahalli along with technical colleges.
  
  The college holds departments such as Department of Anatomy Museum, Department of Aganda Tantra, Department of Pathology Museum, Department of Yoga, Department of OT, etc.
  
  Apart from this, the college holds a Pharmacy unit with full stock: a large range of medications, including specialized medications in the field of Ayurveda.

Infrastructure and Facilities

The institution has a well-equipped Dissection theatre, laboratories, nature cure, digital library, Yoga which can fully cater to the needs of all students.

The pharmacy of the college provides all necessary infrastructure and amenities. The  college has a fine team of young, qualified, experienced and dedicated staff members and also an N.S.S. Unit consisting of boys and girls under guidance and financial assistance.

The hospital consists of 120 bed and it is well-equipped. There is a well-established laboratory, surgical theatre, maternity room, Kayachikitsa, Shalya, Shalakya, Prasoothi & Streeroga, Kaumarabhritya, Panchakarma sections as well as X-ray plant to provide all facilities to the patients.

The college provides scholarship to SC/ST students. Apart from this, it has staff quarters. The college also has audio-visual equipment to help students in updating their knowledge. 

The college has a big campus where canteen facilities, playground and hospital is situated.
