About College:

To bring the education to the doorsteps of poor students, Shri Vijay Mahantesh Vidya Vardhak Sangha was established in 1963. It is one of the elite and premium educational institutes of North Karnataka. Shri Vijay Mahantesh Ayurvedic Medical College was created under the guidance of this educational conglomerate in 1992. The college was developed with the sole objective to impart that type of quality education that can help an individual to become self-reliant, have the confidence to face challenges and cater the health related needs of the society. Apart from rigorous academics the students are encouraged to venture into their area of interest like cultural activities, sports, etc.

The College was earlier affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad now after commence of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore in 1996 got affiliated to it. Since then the intake capacity of student increased from 30 to 50 and college & hospital are well organized on the basis of the rules & regulation according to C.C.I.M. New Delhi.

Facilities:

 The state-of-the-art college building has all the basic and latest amenities that are useful in better learning process of the students. The college library has books with more than 8100 volumes on Ayurveda and modern Medicines. Facilities of xeroxing famous books are also available.  Seminar hall has LCD projector/ sliding projectors, models, etc. which make the learning process easier, smooth and attractive. The dissection room has suitable facilities for dissection of dead bodies in its dissection hall with attached preservation room. The Institute has one of the best anatomy rooms which have preserved specimens, models, charts which makes the understanding of the students better.

Faculties: The college has a battery of best faculties who are knowledgeable and proficient in their fields. The faculty is always dedicated to developing every student into better persons, responsible citizens and ethical professionals.
