  Established in the year 1989, Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine & Research carries the objective of rejuvenating Ayurvedic education and support research and development in Ayurvedic medicine. It is located in Bangalore Palace Compound, Jayamahal Main Road, where the ambiance is very peaceful for wellness, ideal programs and therapies. Shri L.K. Raju is the present Chairman of the college.

Courses Offered

The Institution offers Bachelor Degree Course in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). The candidate shall be awarded the degree AYURVEDACHARYA (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) after completion of the prescribed courses of study. One year internship program is included in the course.

As per the primary criteria, students need to pass two years Pre University examination conducted by the Department of Pre‐University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. • The institution is approved by the Government of Karnataka, connected to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and recognized by the Central Council of Indian medicine New Delhi, India. IIAMR is located amidst nice scenic beauty within the city Palace Compound.

  The 100 bedded in house hospital is an asset of the institution. The hospital provides clinical exposure to the students. The hospital has various outlets in the city as well as in rural areas.
