About College:

In an effort to materialize the dream of imparting quality professional education to the masses in a small town of Moodbidri, Alva’s Education Foundation under the leadership and guidance of visionary Dr. M. Mohan Alva, established Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College in the year 1996.The institution is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.

Totally 88 Staff including visiting teaching faculty members ranging from lecturers to professors specialized in different subjects of Ayurveda are rendering highly committed professional teaching for both under graduate and post graduate students.The institution is attached with separate OPD and IPD blocks with all specialities and required infrastructureThe College is also attached with Alva’s Health Centre which is 200 bedded hospital offering integrated medical services since 1984.

The undergraduates, internees and post graduate students get a good amount of exposure by practical training in medical and surgical aspects along with Panchakarma therapies, Ksharasutra therapies, Leech therapy etc.Institution provides all the equipments required like spotlight,mask and caps etc.
