The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University. The college is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, CCIM) New Delhi (the apex body for Ayurvedic education from Govt. of India) since 1991 and follows the syllabus recommended by CCIM, New Delhi.

Courses Offered

The college offers courses such as BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and MD degree course. The duration of BAMS degree course is 5.5 years and MD degree course is 3 years.

As per the rules of the college, candidates need to attain 17 years of age on the date of admission notification and should satisfy the criteria such as students should clear second two year PUC examination of the PUC Board, Bangalore or any other examination considered equivalent there to by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional and with a practical examination in each subject with minimum 50% marks in these subjects.  For SC/ST; it is 40% marks are required. As per the college’s norms, students will be interviewed to determine the aptitude for taking up degree and will be selected on the basis of their performance at the interview and their PUC ranking.

The intake capacity for BAMS course of the batch 2019-2020 is 60.
